Is this considered double fisting?
Seriously teething.
The food was huge! I couldn't believe how much they served. 'The Hubs' and I also shared a bacon waffle. I have a deep love for all things bacon so, naturally, I was in heaven. Needless to say, I hardly made a dent in my food and it was just as good the next morning.
After breakfast, we went back to our room and made a quick costume change before meeting up with everyone at Grandma's fabulous room at Caesar's. Seriously, we need to splurge and stay there sometime soon. We exchange more gifts and my mom and Lynda gave me my first Coach purse. I have wanted this one forever but could never justify spending that much on a purse. Thanks so much moms. I loooooove it!
Horrible smile but I had to show off my new bag.
We took some Mother's Day pics...
Just in case you were wondering where 'The Boy' was...
...he was in the midst of a full blown meltdown over popcorn and refused to be a part of the pictures.
So, naturally, we rewarded his behavior with gelato.
It was so nice to have some special time alone with Grandma.
And just in case you were wondering what happens to a three year old after a bowlful of gelato...
That night, we ate dinner at Red, White and Blue at the Mandalay Bay. It was such a great family meal, broken dishes and all. I just love that Sean fit into our family like he has been there all along and that our family felt so complete. (No pressure, guys.)
After dinner we walked around the casino and stopped in front of the theater where we surprised my Mom with tickets to see The Lion King for that night. Her reaction was priceless. I wish I hadn't already forfeited my camera to 'The Hubs' otherwise her crazy surprise face would be all over this post. It was such a wonderful show and such a great way to end a perfect Mother's Day. I don't think it'll be the same if we ever spend it at home again.
