At Eight Months

'Dear 'Munchkin',

You have grown by leaps and bounds in the last month.  You have gone from content and mellow to curious and well, for lack of a better phrase, on a mission. (This would be the reason we had so much trouble getting you to sit still for a picture this month.)  You started crawling.  I haven't put the date down in your baby book as it's not the traditional hands and knees type of crawling we saw with you brother.  I was planning on holding out for that but you are getting by with your army crawl.  And by getting by, I mean getting into everything.  You have an intense curiosity for your brother and what he is doing and playing with.  I can set you on the floor in one corner of the room and you will crawl on your belly fifteen feet in 5 seconds flat to try to get to him and his toys.  This does not exactly make him super happy but we all have things we need to work on.

You still sleep all night long and take a two hour nap in the morning and another for an hour in the afternoon.  You aren't the biggest eater but you have started feeding yourself puffs, and small bites of cheese and pancakes.  And you love cheese.  Love.

You are such a happy baby!  You are big enough to go to daycare at the church and you absolutely love it.  You just adore people and taking in what is going on around you.  You are such a delightful little girl and we have loved seeing you grown into your personality this last month.

Happy eight months, darling girl.
