15 Weeks

I can't believe that we are already here!

The first 12 weeks were spent close to the toilet or laying on my new best friend (we have since changed the status of our relationship form beginning to mold into one another to hanging out for a few hours a day). I was so relieved to get that first trimester behind me because I knew (hoped) that I would be leaving all my morning glory sickness with it. I felt pretty good from the beginning of week 12 until yesterday when I was reunited with my old friends nausea and the couch. I am feeling much better today and am hoping it was a fluke.

Yesterday, I went to visit Dr. B. for our 15 week appointment. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat, a healthy 137, and found out the date of our big ultrasound. January 26th is the big day and I cannot wait to find out what we are having. I have been wanting to cheat by going to a 3D ultrasound place but 'The Hubs' said to be patient. I had a pregnancy induced mitral valve prolapse when I was preggers with 'The Boy' and started having heart palpitations the other night so, I also get to visit the cardiologist that same week.

Otherwise, everything is great with 'The Little' and 'The Boy' has started to kiss my belly when I ask him to kiss the baby. So cute! I will leave you with some 15 week facts and no picture as this pregnancy has yet to be photographed.

Happy New Year

I cannot believe that we just rang in 2010! Usually, for me, the odd years prove to be better than the evens and, being that 10 is an even number, I would normally not be super excited for the year to come. But, let's face it- aside from an awesome vacation and finding out about the upcoming arrival of our second little one- 2009 was a BUST!

Last year, I lost my father, went back to work more than I ever thought I would have to, struggled to stay above water in the whirlpool of finances, and spent the last bit sick on my couch. While I'm super grateful for all that I have, I'd say things can only go up from here.

So onto a new year and a cleanish slate. We are looking forward to all this new year brings.

On to the resolutions. Usually, my New Year's resolution is to workout more and loose that last annoying five pounds. This year, I am off the hook! I do, however, have a few things that I will add to the list, one of which continues to reoccur year after agonizing year (hoping to conquer that once and for all).

1. Floss regularly. I floss. Just not the way a dental hygienist would. Hoping to make you proud this year Dr.Kim.

2. Give birth to this baby. With drugs. Only because I have to.

3. Spend more time on the floor playing with my kiddo and get up in under 30 seconds with the assistance of only one piece of furniture.

4. Make more dinners and less frozen pizza.

5. Work less. I hope, I hope, I hope, I hope.

6. Go to church regularly. Like every week. If I don't burst into flames the moment I enter the doors.

Good luck to you all with your resolutions this year. Don't worry if it doesn't work out. I'm pretty sure the only one that I'll follow through on is #2. Only because I have to.

Happy New Year!

Pumkin Patch- A BLTN post

We didn't make it to the good pumpkin patch this year. We intended to and tried several times. Morning sickness won in the end and we ended up at home for most of the month of October. We did get to the smaller patch at the end of Grammie's street. It wasn't as much fun as last year (mainly because all I wanted to do was lay down) but it got us into the Halloween spirit.

So many pumpkins. Which should I choose?

Patiently waiting to go into the petting zoo. He was so excited but then cried the entire time he was in there.

Pretty sure this one is bigger than you, buddy. He thought it made a nice drum.

We'll try to get to Peltzer Farms next year. And the apple orchard. And off the couch. :).
